When you are purchasing LED lanterns, there are several things you have to consider. The most important thing is your new LED lantern should utilize multiple LEDs. The more LEDs, the brighter the lantern can provide. But 8-12 bulbs are recommended. Next is the ability to adjust light intensity either through some mechanisms or using a dimmer switch. Optional feature such as a hand crank to provide emergency power in case the batteries are running low or FM/AM radio are also recommended.
